This story tells of a young asian girl's relationship with Nani-Ma, her grandmother. Shaira, like many young children, is unsure of sharing her grandmother's love and attention with others in her family. While Nani-Ma is away visiting another grandchild, Shaira begins to understand that she can love more than one person.
Shenaaz Nanji was born in Mombasa, Kenya and came to Canada in 1980. She is married, with two children, and lives in Calgary, Alberta, where she manages a medical practice and writes for children. She is also the author of Teeny Weeny Penny.

Rossitza Skortcheva Penney lives and works in Toronto. She works with publishers and designers throughout Canada and Europe, and her works regularly appear in magazines such as Today's Parent, Great Expectations, and Chickadee. She also teaches art at York University.
